PITCH
Finding the right people to invest in your idea is like trying to get a date with the hottest person in the bar. I probably have a lot of competition and my rivals might have better things to offer. They might have a better business plan or clear figures or close to accurate forecasts. That’s not a big deal to me, I believe in my idea and so will you.
As a young Kenyan child I was familiar with merry go round saving groups (chama’s), as our mothers had them and we have participated in one at one time or another. These saving groups (chama’s) were usually based on social reasons. A group of friends decided that they can meet up (at their homes) for a cup of tea or a meal every month and in the process save some money which is given to one member every time (usually the host): thus the merry go round theme.

Group Dumpsite
youth group meets up to help the community by cleaning a dumpsite.
Many people to date are comfortable with this type of saving groups (chama) since they get to save and get the money in a lump sum after several months. People use this money to buy household goods, pay school fees, and buy a new phone.etc.
Alas this brought to me to think of bringing these saving groups (chama’s) via an online platform and build a site whereby people especially women and youths can subscribe for membership and form chama’s virtually as way of investing in these chamas. Furthermore if the site can generate good traffic and attract advertisers or is sponsored by any well wishers then subscription will be free for membership. This site seeks to continue with the saving culture among Kenyans. It is a new and refreshing idea of making some extra savings on the side virtually, especially for the youth and women.
Join me and let us empower the women and youth in our community.
